[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Shove a flower on it and I’m hooked! Although no doubt the product development team at Bobbi Brown would cringe at their beautiful designs being describes ‘having flowers shoved on them’. However, first I’m going to flag up a bit of treat that I found while I was on the BB website. Beauty brands are really having to up their game to bring in custom and I think this set is a game well and truly upped.
For £28, this set, I feel, is a bit of a snip. It’s small sizes of course bar one item, but everything is handy and if you are venturing on a break anywhere, perfect to throw in your overnight bag. I’m also eyeing it as being very giftable if you have summer birthdays or celebrations to contend with. Contents are Pot Rouge in Fresh Melon (full size), Mini Vitamin Enriched Face Base, Mini Smokey Eye Mascara, Mini Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Pink, Mini Soothing Cleansing Oil and Mini Extra Eye Repair Cream. Plus the bag, obviously. I love it – it’s HERE and I don’t think it will be around for long – it’s only gone live very recently.
So, back to the products in question – the Blush & Bloom Collection – where the glosses have been given a fancy twist with floral lids and they’re in the Crushed Oil Infused formula.
Red Hibiscus is one of my absolute favourites in this formula – a sheer crimson for the red-shy as it goes on as a hint of shiny red rather than a full-on saturation that has you fully committed to a ‘statement lip’. It’s especially lovely if your tone has warmed a bit over the summer. I’m also already a fan of Sweet Dianthus – the pinky-coral shade. I was beginning to think that these are re-named existing colours but I’ve done a side by side of several of Bobbi reds – Hollywood Red and Hot Streak and Red Hibiscus is marginally different so perhaps not. I’m a sucker for pinky-corals as absolute suit-alls and an easy win for a dot of colour on the lips. There are only a couple of shades left (Red Hibiscus is one, the other is Rose Garden) with the flowery lids but all the colours are available in the usual black lid. They’re £19 HERE.
If you’re a highlighter fan, there is some beautiful detailing on the Highlighting Powder in Pink Glow. Although, to be fair, I’m not really seeing a lot of pink in it!
It’s more of a light bronze and pearl mix – really pretty and beautiful on the skin as you’ll see. It’s £30 HERE.
In the swatch is Red Hibiscus, Rose Garden and Sweet Dianthus, followed by the highlighter in Pink Glow. Non-affiliate link is HERE.
