Clé de Peau Beaute Cleansing Clay Scrub

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] When I initially tested this clay based exfoliator on the back of my hand, I really wasn’t all that impressed. Usually hands are very receptive to anything you put on them (which is why it’s the place that sales people opt to show you how well something works) and I was just a bit meh about it. However, totally different thing on the face.

Clé de Peau Beaute Cleansing Clay Scrub

This formula is best for those who veer to oily and shiny because it’s a sebum slayer but if you like a weekly ‘clear out’ it doesn’t matter what your skin type is. It doesn’t initially feel as though there is much to the ‘scrub’ element within the very soft cream. It reminded me of a gommage texture mask actually. But, I took my time with it and while it is very gentle there was a definite silkiness to my skin that hadn’t been there before as well as a cleansed effect. If my skin had too much oil, it would have been well and truly whipped off!

Compared to other clay masks I’ve used (usually with the word ‘detox’ in the title) this is a superior version – gentle and highly effective. It’s something I would dab on a blemish and leave for a couple of hours or use after a hot and sweaty day to really re-set my skin and make it receptive to moisturiser. I was surprised to like it as much as I do – it’s horribly expensive but does feel like the Rolls Royce of clay cleansers. You can find it for £48 HERE, non affiliate HERE.
